Moon Lake, a natural setting surrounded by mountains, ideal for outdoor activities. End your adventure in the
Alishan mountains, famous for their forests and panoramic views.

Day 1 TAIPEI
Welcome by our representative at the airport, transfer and check-in at the hotel.
Day 2 TAIPEI Taipei
Visit the many facets of this capital city, starting with Longshan Temple, in the
heart of Taipei's oldest district. Visit other historic districts such as
Dadaocheng. Discover the emblematic Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. The day
concludes with the city's newest landmark, Taipei 101, one of the world's
tallest skyscrapers.

Day 3 TAIPEI - YANGMINGSHAN NATIONAL PARK - TAIPEI
Discover the world's finest collection of Chinese antiquities at the National Sun Moon Lake
Palace Museum. In the afternoon, explore Yangmingshan National Park, on the
outskirts of Taipei. This dormant volcano offers fabulous views, hiking trails and
the chance to try one of the spas.
Alishan
Day 4 TAIPEI - SUN MOON LAKE
Drive to the Sun Moon Lake, in the center of the country. This is Taiwan's
largest lake and one of its most beautiful regions. Its central island is sacred to
many indigenous cultures. Take a boat trip and explore the local temples.

Day 5 SUN MOON LAKE - ALISHAN
Drive through the high mountains to the Alishan national forest area (altitude
approx. 2600 m), through tea fields and forests to this charming region. Alishan
is also known for its rich history and spiritual significance in the Taoist and
Buddhist traditions. The afternoon is devoted to exploring the many trails.

Day 6 ALISHAN - TAINAN
Wake up early to board the historic mountain train to the observation area to
watch the Alishan sunrise over the sea of clouds! In the afternoon, transfer to
Tainan, Taiwan's historic capital.

Day 7 TAINAN
A day devoted to exploring Tainan, starting with the Chimei Museum, home to
an impressive collection of art, armor and musical instruments (a must for art
and history lovers). Then, in the afternoon, the city's historic district, with the
Confucius Temple, Chikan Tower and the 1930s Hayashi department store.

Day 8 TAINAN - TAIPEI
Continue exploring Tainan with the Anping district, where the Dutch founded
the city at Fort Zeelandia, and the "Anping Treehouse," a former warehouse
now overrun by racinese. Return to Taipei in the afternoon.
