Day 6 SAPA
A day dedicated to discovering the minority villages of the Sapa region (Black H’Mongs,
Giay, Red Dao...). Hike to the bamboo forest of Giang Ta Chai.
Day 7 SAPA – LAO CAI – NIGHT TRAIN
Visit the village of Cat Cat. Excursion to the Thac Tinh Yeu Waterfalls, followed by a stop
at the Tram Ton Pass. Transfer to Lao Cai station for the night train to Hanoi.
Day 8 NIGHT TRAIN – HANOI – HALONG
Board a junk for a cruise on Halong Bay, a UNESCO-listed site. Culinary activity on board.
Day 9 HALONG
Second day of cruising. Board a boat and continue the excursions as the junk resumes
its journey.
Day 10 HALONG – HANOI – HUE
The junk sails across the bay, stopping to visit a natural cave. Transfer by road to Hanoi
airport for the flight to Hue.
Day 11 HUE
Explore Hue, discovering the Imperial City, the Thien Mu Pagoda and the tombs of the
emperors: Emperor Minh Mang and Emperor Tu Duc, the 4th emperor of the Nguyen
Dynasty who reigned from 1847 to 1883. Stop at a family workshop specializing in the
manufacture of conical hats and incense sticks.
Day 12 HUE – DANANG – HOI AN
Depart to Danang via the “Hai Van Pass” (visit the Cham archaeological museum). The
road continues to Hoi An.
Day 13 HOI AN
Discover the old town. Visit a lantern factory and introduction to this ancestral technique.
Stroll along Thu Bon River, stopping off at traditional ceramics and carpentry villages.
Day 14 HOI AN – KONTUM
Depart to Kontum in the Highlands. Stop at several communal houses belonging to
different ethnic groups and meet the “H’re”, the last tribe in the region.
Day 15 KONTUM
Visit the Kontum’s seminary and the wooden church, built in 1913. Walk to the Banhar
villages of Kontum Konam, Konko Wang, Kon Jari and Kon Kotu.
Day 16 KONTUM – BUON MA THUOT
Depart to Buon Ma Thuot, through numerous pepper and coffee plantations.
Day 17 BUON MA THUOT – LAK LAKE – BUON MA THUOT
Visit the Buon Ma Thuot Ethnological Museum. Depart by road to Lak Lake, located in
the heart of a volcanic region. On arrival, meeting with the elephants.
Enjoy a Gong show and rice alcohol tasting with the M’nong people.
Day 18 BUON MA THUOT – HO CHI MINH CITY
Excursion to the village of Akodhong, inhabited by the Ede ethnic group. This village is
renowned for its longhouses and coffee plantations. Stop at Drei Nur Falls. Depart to
Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 19 HO CHI MINH CITY
Discovery of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), the country’s economic capital (City Hall,
Opera House, Independence Palace...).
Day 20 HO CHI MINH CITY – BEN TRE – HO CHI MINH CITY
Day trip to Ben Tre Province, in the Mekong delta.
