Day 1 HANOI
Welcome by our representative at the airport, transfer and check-in at the hotel.
Traditional water puppet show.
Day 2 HANOI – HOA LU – HANOI – NIGHT TRAIN
Depart to Hoa Lu, once the capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. Cycle and sampan
ride. Transfer to the station for the night train to Lao Cai.
Day 3 NIGHT TRAIN – LAO CAI – SAPA
Arrival in Lao Cai, depart to one of the region’s many mountain markets. Drive to Sapa
and check-in at the hotel.
Day 4 SAPA
A day dedicated to discovering the region’s minority villages. Encounter with several
ethnic groups (Black H’Mongs, Giay, Red Dao...). Hike to the bamboo forest of
Giang Ta Chai.
Day 5 SAPA – LAO CAI – NIGHT TRAIN
Visit to the village of Cat Cat. Excursion to the Thac Tinh Yeu Waterfalls, followed by
a stop at the Tram Ton Pass. Transfer to Lao Cai station for the night train to Hanoi.
Day 6 NIGHT TRAIN – HANOI – HALONG
Board a junk for a cruise on Halong Bay, a UNESCO-listed site. Culinary activity on board.
Day 7 HALONG – HANOI – HUE
Morning sail to visit a natural cave, then return to Hanoi. Transfer to the airport for
the flight to Hue.
Day 8 HUE
Explore Hue, discovering the Imperial City, the Thien Mu Pagoda and the tombs of the
emperors: Emperor Minh Mang and Emperor Tu Duc, the 4th emperor of the Nguyen
Dynasty who reigned from 1847 to 1883. Stop at a family workshop specializing in the
manufacture of conical hats and incense sticks.
Day 9 HUE – DANANG – HOI AN
Depart to Danang via the “Hai Van Pass” (visit the Cham archaeological museum). The
road continues to Hoi An.
Day 10 HOI AN
Discover the old town. Visit to a lantern factory and introduction to this ancestral
technique. Stroll along the Thu Bon River, stopping off at traditional ceramics and
carpentry villages.
Day 11 HOI AN – DANANG – HO CHI MINH CITY
Transfer to Danang airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Discovery of the
country’s economic capital (City Hall, Opera House, Independence Palace...).
Day 12 HO CHI MINH CITY – CAI BE – VINH LONG – CAN THO
Depart to Cai Be, in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Embark for a cruise, visit an old
colonial house and an artisanal puffed rice factory.
Day 13 CAN THO – CAI RANG – CHAU DOC
Excursion by sampan to the small market on the water at Cai Rang. Stroll through Can
Tho Market, then transfer to Chau Doc, on the border with Cambodia. Walk to Mount
Nui Sam (284m), a Buddhist pilgrimage site dotted with dozens of temples and pagodas
combining Chinese, Cham and Khmer influences.
Day 14 CHAU DOC – HO CHI MINH CITY
Boat trip to discover the floating fish farms. Stop in a Cham village and visit its
mosque. Return to Ho Chi Minh City by road.
Day 15 HO CHI MINH CITY – DEPART
